ProposalWork was undertaken on 20/09/19 (crown cleaning and removal of dead wood) on this lime tree subject of the existing Tree Preservation Order. During this time a problem with one of the main branches on the tree (T1) was identified in that there is a significant cavity which extends along the full length of the branch with significant decay and loss of heartwood. This branch over hangs the adjacent pavement and highway and thereby presents a significant possibility of failure and therefore potential danger to pedestrians and road users. The Tree Surgeon has recommended the following remedial action ie to cut back all of the significant lateral growth back to teh primary branch (Tree 1).
